We use the ABI3730 DNA sequencer and Big DYE Terminator cycle sequencing kit from ABI for our Sanger sequencing. The error rate is about 0.125% per kb. Besides, the Applied Biosystems 3730/3730xl DNA Analyzer program will generate a Quality Value (QV) to each peak, which could help us to evaluate the correctness of each base-pair.
